Life-Changing results has been the topic of conversation with clients this week. As we enter the final quarter of the year, I’ve been wrapping up sessions with my coaching clients. It’s a powerful time to reflect on where the year started, who they were as it began, how they’ve evolved over the last three quarters, and how they can intentionally finish the year strong.
Each journey was unique and miraculously designed for exactly what each person needed to grow—just as yours was for you.
We reflected on the challenges, obstacles, fears, and doubts when life felt hard. Moments when there were more questions than answers. When life required a level of faith and trust that didn’t quite feel earned.
Yet, they did trust. They leaned in and practiced new ways of being and experiencing life. Can you relate?
Challenges Are Part of the Path
My clients faced moments when life felt overwhelming and they questioned their ability to move forward. They were stuck in patterns that weren’t serving them and didn’t know how to break free.
But something shifted when they chose to engage in coaching. They opened themselves to possibilities and took brave steps forward.
What Life-Changing Growth Looks Like on the Other Side of Challenges
They stopped doing things the same way so they could finally get different results.
They showed the inner critic the door and learned how to be their own best advocate and supporter to achieve what they wanted in life.
They had the courage to take off all masks and facades to consistently use their authentic voice and show up in their authentic power.
They discovered the power of the pause to remove the emotional reaction from a trigger and respond from a calm center.
They got curious and became part of the creative solution rather than focusing on the problem.
They mastered their mindset and aligned their thoughts, words, and inspired actions to create their desired results.
They harnessed the energy of life and recognized that what they put into the world is exactly what they would receive.
They learned how to believe in what they could cause and create before they saw any proof of it—and then celebrated as it took form.
They recognized that life and personal development are not checklists of items to tick off every day. Instead, they embraced life as a practice of becoming, learning, and expanding.
Real Life Examples of Life-Changing Results
If you were eavesdropping on any of our conversations, you might have heard this:
“The best part is the freedom to act/think/respond in the way that is true to me and not with the filter of all those inner thoughts getting in the way. I have never felt like this in my entire life—free of doubt, free of the need to edit myself. It’s staggering.”
Or this:
“Joan, you’ve been such a wonderful, vibrant, guiding light in our lives. I haven’t felt so much like I’m doing the right thing for the right reasons until after spending time with you. And what a gift to know there’s a difference between just fitting in and being a part of something. Being an outlier never felt so good. Because now I belong.”
These transformations are real. They’re the result of deeply committing to growth and trusting in the coaching process to reveal what’s possible. They highlight the life-changing results through coaching and the profound impact of leaning into the process.
Reflection Questions to Explore Your Growth
As you come into the home stretch of the final quarter, spend some time in honest, gentle reflection of your year. This is not an exercise to beat yourself up. Instead, approach it with curiosity, generosity, and a desire to learn and grow. Use these questions as your guide:
- What did your unique journey look like?
- Where did you start?
- How are you ending this year?
- What did you learn—about yourself and life?
- Who have you become?
- How does life look on the other side of those challenges and obstacles?
- How did you grow through them?
- What could you have done differently, knowing what you know now?
- How are you acknowledging yourself for your growth?
- How are you celebrating your successes?
Finish the Year Strong
As the year draws to a close, remember that every moment of growth, every challenge overcome, and every lesson learned has brought you closer to the person you’re becoming. This is your time to honor your journey and celebrate your progress. Reflect on the unique path you’ve taken and use what you’ve learned to make intentional adjustments that align with your values and goals.
Then, finish the year strong by engaging with the lessons you’ve uncovered and implementing productive changes to create your own life-changing results.
If you’re ready to explore what’s possible in your life, I’d welcome a conversation! Here’s a link to my calendar. Let’s connect to explore how you can achieve your own life-changing results.
Carpe Diem!
